Day 1 is under our belts! So far this trip has been a ton of fun! Spent half of day one driving and the other half at the beach. I never knew that boogie boarding could be so much fun! Big props to Angel for teaching me how to read the waves and Chris and Kaylin Bennet for bringing the boards. I had a great time. As the sun started setting, we looked out over the crashing waves and saw a small pod of dolphins swimming. Some of them even got to within 100 yards of the shore. They are quite amazing.

Post beach fun, we sat and just admired the sunset, knowing that God has a special task for us this week…Open Your Eyes!

I’ve made the switch! I’m now using a MacBook…not exclusively, but it will probably become my main computer. Here’s what I think so far.

• The Mac OS takes a little getting used to, but I am enjoying getting to know the new interface
• Networking is SUPER easy
• Enjoying the portability again ;^)>

SO there are my first thoughts. Hope to start creating some pretty sweet media and design stuff on here soon!

So for those of you who didn’t know, the past two weeks Denise and I worked overnights to help “reset” the housewares, furniture, and domestics departments. It was a long and tedious process, but I think we did pretty well.

One thing I noticed while we were on nights was how much I slept. We would usually get home by 7:30 or so in the morning and get to sleep shortly after. I would from there sleep until about 5:30 or even 6 o’clock at night. For those of you would don’t want to do the math, that’s close to 11 hours of sleep…everyday…for two weeks! Crazy experience all the way around.

So, would you rather…

Get too much sleep or not get enough?

Having gone to both extremes on several occasions, I would have to say too much sleep. You can always work your way out of the funk. With not enough sleep, I just drag. At least until a beverage laced with far too much sugar and caffeine comes along ;^)>

It’s time again for Would You Rather Wednesday! This week’s “Would You Rather” is inspired by my friend Sam Frederick’s weekly installment of “Confessions.” Sam’s wife Dana posted that she is “addicted” ;^)> to the Twilight series. My wife, Denise, and mom have both jumped on the bandwagon also. Twilight has also begun to make movies, similar to other famous book series like, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

So, would you rather…

Read the book or watch the movie?

For me, as long as I don’t read the book (which is about 99% of the time) I would much rather watch the movie. Books also have a curious way of putting me to sleep.
