It’s Really Hard…

To post when you don’t have the Internet. Thank goodness for wp and iPhone apps.

So, much has changed in our lives since the last non-goofy post (not to say they all aren’t a little goofy). So let’s see, Denise and I have moved into our own apartment. One day later my car decided it was tired of working so we had to get another one. Then a couple of days after that we ended up with another car (long story). I think that covers most of the goings on.

Dayton is now 4 years old!!!! He’s growing up so fast! We diced to go to Superstition Springs Mall on his birthday to walk around and be silly. One thing Dayton always asks to do when we go to the mall is ask to ride the carousel. I don’t know if he had ever actually gotten to ride it before. But since it was his birthday Denise and I wanted to treat him to it. To ride you have to get a token. The mall has some token machines set up near the carousel so you can retrieve the precious copperish coin. Well the one I went to wouldn’t take $1 bills. So I changed the $1s I had for a $5, since apparently that’s all it would take. I get my $5 and insert it into the machine and out pops two tokens. I was a little surprised at this and then realized the token machine doesn’t give back change. I gave the extra token to Niece and told her to keep an eye out for any kid that might be watching but can’t ride. Once on the carousel, I handed Niece my phone so she could take some pics of us on the ride. Once we got off we noticed a little girl and an older woman were sitting at the exit and instinctively asked if she wanted to ride. At first the older woman denied our offer but we told her that we had gotten an extra token and we would love for the girl to go. As we walked away, we noticed that the girl had a walker and some leg braces on. It was something that we hadn’t noticed at first, but as we went to sit and eat our cookies we wanted to watch the girl have a great time even more. I hope she enjoyed it. We got to explain to Dayton why we gave the little girlthe token. He liked the idea too. Here are a couple of pictures from our bday trip to the mall:
